Non-standard hollow fiber exclusion cut-off?Azeotrope2001-02-14Click here to register.
Hi Lil Steve..
Does Spectrum have hollow fiber bundles available in larger pore sizes, say 1-3 micron rated? Can it be done from a technical standpoint?

Brad:

The largest pore size that I know Spectrum uses is 1/2 micron (some of their CellMax cartridges use this fiber). There's a bigger market for filters in the 0.1 micron range since they can be used to sterilize liquids.

I'm sure that there are other specialized manufacturers that make the larger pore sizes. If you're interested in large quantities, (hundreds of meters) be sure to contact Dave Libby at Spectrum (phone: 800-634-3300) and he'll have more information on their capabilities.
