I need to insure sterility of a powder placed in
either a sterile vial or glass ampoule. I do not know where to research efficacy/reliability of autoclaving (if stable), microwave sterilization, or irradiation. These powders are not water or ethanol soluble and hence require a surety of sterilzation in the aforementioned containers.

I'm not sure what your application is. I understand that there are contract labs that exist solely to monitor sterilization efforts by the medical device companies.
You may want to contact one of these labs for more information on what procedures are available. One such lab in my area is Stillmeadow, Inc. Their phone number if 281-240-8828. They can probably provide more information. |
