Hi, I have your MiniKros M25S-600-01S and will use it for protein separation of several liters. Your web doesn't have the operating instructions. Could you tell me the TMP limit, recommended feed flow rate, temeperature range, system hold up volume and air flow integrity value?
I'd appreciate your quick reply.
Thanks

tmp limit: 30 psi
recommended Feed flow rate: 2755 ml/min for cells; 8312.5 ml/min for proteins
temp range: these are autoclavable units...you can take them up to 120oC
Hold up: the housing volume for the unit is 249mL...the fiber volume 164ml ...the ECS volume 84ml
Air flow integrity value: We integrity test at 10psi...

Hi,mre,
For the smaller module of M25S-100-01S, what is the feed flow rate? Is it proportional to area?
What is the better permeate flux for protein fractionation?
Thanks.

Recommended Feed Flow for Cells: 2755 ml/min
Proteins: 8312.5
Pretty much proportional to surface area.

Permeate Flux? you mean the rate at which water/buffer flows through the membrane? Honestly it would depend on you application, the protein and its concentrations.

This time I am asking the smaller modeule of M25S-100-01S, NOT M25S-100-01S. Its area is 1050CM2, not 6600CM2. So the flow rate should be much lower, can i calculate based on 8312/6600*1050=1322 ?

For permeate flux, I mean the flow rate for permeate, it can influence the Seiving coefficient of proteins and thus the protein fractionation. Do you have some application date about this?

Denisu:
To be sure...you are asking about the 100 (not the 600) module. The only functional difference betweent the two (as you likely know is the packing density of the fibers-->lower surface area for the 100 module.

I will check with some of our technical sales people for app data...do you have any specific questions? What proteins are you working with (or what are their sizes) and what kind of concentrations?

To simplify (for me): You are trying to separate proteins with our tff modules?
