 | When salt is dissolved in water, the salt pieces are very small, nearly the same size as the water molecules. "Reverse osmosis" is the name given to the technique of filtering using filters small enough to separate the dissolved salt from the water.
So yes, water can be filtered to remove dissolved salt, but the people doing this filtration just call is reverse osmosis. |
