The problem you are seeing is most likely in the storage tank for your system.

After the water goes through the RO filters it is kept in a tank until you draw it from the tap. The bottom of the tank should have a fitting that can be used to add air to the tank (like the air inlet on a tire). What has happened is that over time the air pressure in the tank has been lost. You need to take a tire pump and pump the tank back up. It's full of water but with no air pressure there's no force to drive the water to the tap.

If you disconnect the tank from the water lines before you pump it up, be sure to turn the water inlet to the RO system off before you disconnect the tank. You might also want to add a little bleach to the water in the tank; after the system is reconnected and sealed you'll need to waste a couple of tankfuls of water to rinse out the bleach.

The bleach is recommended since the RO water has no biocides left in it. City water has chlorine added to keep molds from growing in it. If you get any mold spores or other biologicals in your tank while it's open then you may get growth in your clean water.

Also, it you disconnect the tank before pumping it up, then pumping air into the tank from the bottom will make the water come out of the tank at the top. The tank has a plastic bag inside that holds the water an the air is in the tank around the bag to squeeze it.

Thanks million Lil Stevie! I pumped air into the tank than everything is fine.
I didn't use bleach, because I don't know how to put it in the tank and howe much and I could not tell if there are mold spors or biologicals in it. This system is only 3 years old, do you think neads cleaning with bleach?
My best Regards

If you disconnected the water inlet or outlet from then tank, then mold might have gotten in to the tank. You would have poured the bleach into where you disconnected the water line(s). If you did not disconnect the water lines then you are fine.

If any mold spores that will grow in the clean water did get in the tanke while you had the water lines disconnected, then in 3 to 12 months the water will start to taste funny and you'll need to replace the tank.

I've not personally had any trouble with the home systems, but its something I feel I should always mention.

Thanks for visiting.
